No, this isn't a coming of age story about a kid going through puberty…although, that does sounds kind of moving. This is the story of a regular twelve-year-old kid…who winds up in the coolest, most awesome, most brain-popping, eyeball-melting, spine-ripping, pants-wetting, eyebrow-lifting-then-dropping-again….then-lifting-again-est place on the planet. Oh yeah. We got you now. Way better then some kid with zits, huh?

BILLY IN B.E.T.W.E.E.N. is an 11-minute comedic blast from a carbon-dioxide-powered-canon, mounted on the back of a cloned saber-tooth tiger that can play the sax…and will launch into a free-form jazz fusion solo. It compiles the tales and tribulations of one Billy Bannerton, a regular kid who is about to spend an endless summer with his mad-genius uncle, his annoying mad-genius cousin…and thirty-million mad science experiments gone wrong - very wrong under the dome of the B.E.T.W.E.E.N. complex, or as it’s less commonly known: the Bio-domic Engineered Total Work Environment Experiment…Now. (Yeah, they kinda lost steam on the "N".)

The domed mini-city houses scientists, thinkers and tinkerers of all kinds…and at least one psychopathic caricaturist. It is a collection of great minds, working on secret projects to help – or hinder – mankind. It’s a place where anything can happen, usually does…then gets repeated over and over and over again… The secret dome, in its even more secret location, was erected (no one knows by whom) to keep the eyes of the world off this buncha crazies — and to keep whatever they make — from eating us. Strange noises can be heard from it at night, and a half-man, half-dolphin did once escape from it before ominously vanishing. Coincidentally around the same time as that big tuna fish sale over at the supermarket.

Geared for the crazy minds of our 8-12 year-old population, BILLY IN B.E.T.W.E.E.N. is a wild send-up of mad scientists, evil Frankenstein-monster-builders, crazy cloning maniacs and a bunch of friends who want to have fun…all lumped under a dome.

BILLY IN B.E.T.W.E.E.N. is based on the best-selling Canadian comic book CTON’S SUPER A-MAZE-ING YEAR OF CRAZY COMICS by Clayton Hanmer, published by Owl Kids. The television series adaptation is developed by Emmy-nominated writer Shawn Kalb (Sidekick, Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5, The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That).
